Moodle has now been upgraded to Moodle 2.4.1 and courses from v1.9 have all been migrated by your teachers. Please see Mr Hew in Room C22 if there are any issues. New plugins & formats installed include:

  • Wiris - a mathematical visual editor which can use a large collection of icons nicely organized in thematic tabs in order to create formulas for any web content and this is an online platform for mathematical calculations designed for education including integrals and limits calculation, function graphing in 2D or 3D and symbolic matrices manipulation
  • Topics format (colours) - allows a teacher to specify the foreground and background colours for each course section
  • Calendar format -  displays a course in a calendar format
  • Daily format - modified version of Weekly format that displays sections by day rather than week
  • Flexible sections format - organises course content in any number of sections that can be nested. Each section can be displayed expanded or collapsed
  • Collapsed Topics - an interchangeable topic or week based format that solves the issue of the 'Scroll of Death' when a course has many topics
  • PDF feedback - allows a teacher to annotate and return PDF files that have been submitted by students. Teachers can add and position comments and draw lines, ovals, stamps, rectangles and highlights onto the student's work, from within the browser.
